Why Corian?

Corian® Solid Surface is a high tech surface, manufactured globally by DuPont™. It is made from an advanced blend of natural minerals, pigments, acrylic resin and is 100% Quartz and Silica Free, meaning it can be safely finished with seamless joins when being installed in your home.

What is Silica Dust?

Crystalline silica can be found in a variety of materials used in construction and manufacturing, including kitchen benchtops made of natural stones such as granite, marble, and quartz.

Cutting, grinding, or polishing stone benchtops can generate a significant amount of silica dust, which once airborne can cause contamination in your home.

Prolonged exposure to silica dust can lead to the development of a lung disease called silicosis, which can cause permanent damage, similar to asbestos.
